I'd be a Shinigami. (Shinigami = Grim Reaper or any other kind of Grim Reaper). They get awesome Scythes. Who wouldn't want that? Not to mention they feel no pain, and they are immortal.

Add onto the fact that Mythology has "Myth" in it's name, and therefore nothing about Shinigamis are actually official or legitimate, at least by a logical standpoint. If you want to find proof to contradict this, go ahead. And basing your logic off of Anime makes it even more false. Because Anime logic is bloody terrible. I'm going by Real life/Mythology logic.

Please tell me how Mythology logic is any better than anime logic. In the end, they're both false simply because Shinigamis don't exist. It's like trying to debate which religion is the correct one. Please, don't, let's not discuss this any further.

Just because a Shinigami represents death doesn't make him better than God.

Okay, here's what both of them have to bring to the table:

Shinigami: Death, a Scythe, Immortality(Going by your logic), and... kitsunes? Really? Oh, and a "coolness" factor. That doesn't count though.
God: Everlasting life, omnipresence, Immortality, Heaven, historical evidence, angels, and just about everything a Shinigami doesn't have. Which is a lot. And if you want to be really technical, God outranks a Shinigami in terms of Death because he decides where the dead spirit goes, as well as being able to bring him back to life. Not to mention, God is as able to kill as a Shinigami is.

If you really think a 9-tailed fox is reason enough to invalidate my argument, think again.
