Quite simply, every so often, there'll be a specific "Item to your left" Genre.

I actually do have a pistol at my side...

I think a sword will last a helluva lot longer than a gun, because at one point your gun will run out of ammunition, and your reaction will be: "Ah, throw away it's useless now." Meanwhile with the sword, you just keep hacking and slashing until the blade snaps off the hilt, even if the blade snaps off a bit at the top, you can keep using it.

A sword might not be good, it could get stuck in the zombie, and you'll be too weak to take it out. Or it could get stuck in something else, and you can't pull it out because it's wedged in. Plus, if your travelling, the sword will be too heavy and slow you down. Leaving you an easy target.

No, Alloy is mixed metal. Such as Bronze, or Brass
